Our programme is a core part of our operations and our goal of helping women to fight the effects of HIV/AIDS by tackling poverty, which is a key driver of HIV/AIDS in Malawi and most parts of the world.

Youth groups

Youth programmes were established in 2015 and now there are 30 youth support groups. They are comprised of girls that are infected and those that are not infected by the virus.

Flood victim support

From December 2014, heavy rains caused unprecedented damage across the country. Most severely affected were the southern districts. By the end of January, the floods had affected over 650,000 (UN). Among those severely affected were MASYAP’s members in Mpemba, Blantyre.

Mai Aisha Sisters and Youth Aids Programme aims to educate Muslim women and youth on the prevention of HIV/AIDS and to provide care and support to those infected the with virus.

Since its establishment MASYAP has become the most recognizable Muslim-led organization working in HIV/AIDS in Malawi.
