Empowering women across Malawi
Our programme is a core part of our operations and our goal of helping women to fight the effects of HIV/AIDS by tackling poverty, which is a key driver of HIV/AIDS in Malawi and most parts of the world.
Youth programmes were established in 2015 and now there are 30 youth support groups. They are comprised of girls that are infected and those that are not infected by the virus.
MASYAP’s 31 women’s support groups meet regularly and consist of members that are infected, affected and not affected women.
MASYAP wishes to actively and collectively join the efforts to slow the spread of HIV/AIDS by improving knowledge, attitude and practices around sexual behavior and assist target groups in understanding how best to look after themselves if diagnosed with the
TOC has donated school uniforms to 4 support groups namely: Chatha, Chilobwe, Chilomoni and Ndirande support groups. A total number of 170 pupils has benefitted from the donation. ‘sazandipandibwenzanso ku sukulu’ (I will not be sent back from school again),
