In September 2025, MASYAP continued its mission to empower women and young mothers across Malawi through financial literacy, business support, and community collaboration. The month was marked by several key activities, including microfinance training, loan disbursement, chairladies’ meetings, and outreach visits to support groups in Zomba.

Building Financial Confidence

MASYAP conducted microfinance training sessions aimed at equipping over 166 members from 38 support groups with essential business and money management skills.

This training helped members understand how to run their businesses effectively, make informed financial decisions, and manage loans wisely; enabling them to support their families and build stable livelihoods.

Loan Disbursement for Economic Growth

Following the training, microloans were disbursed to 150 beneficiaries across all support groups. The revolving loan model ensures that more members will continue to benefit as funds are repaid.
These loans are empowering women and young mothers to boost their businesses, increase income, and reduce financial dependency.
