The routine support group visits were conducted in 12 support groups in the month of June and 9 in the month of July.
These are outreach programmes that are aimed at following up on how the support group members are progressing.
Not only does MASYAP visit them but also equip them with HIV/AIDS knowledge. This is achieved by inviting healthy personnel from their respective communities. This gives the members a chance to askhealth related issues like where they can access cervical cancer screening.
The visits also give the women a sense of belonging. Since MASYAP created a women friendly environment, these
women feel free to visit the MASYAP office for assistance and counselling when need arises.
