At the beginning of every academic year, MASYAP conducts a general school fees bursary meeting. During this meeting, both beneficiaries and their parents/guardians are invited for the briefing of the school fees programme rules and regulations.
The MASYAP team emphasized on the need to work hard in school as failure will lead them into being expelled from the bursary programme. The Youth Coordinator, Fatima Hassan also briefed on the new development that students must submit their school’s bank account details as school fees will be deposited directly into the school’s account. This is a deliberate measure that will prevent beneficiaries or parents from misusing the funds.
The Women’s Coordinator, Lennie Kachingwe, advised the girls to guard their modesty as they are pursuing their studies so that they become reliable citizens in future.
Parent involvement helps extend teaching outside the classroom, creates a more positive experience for children and helps children perform better when they are in school. It is essential for parents to support the learning that happens in preschool settings at home as well.
