New school year: fees will now be paid directly to schools
At the start-of-year meeting, students and guardians heard the programme’s rules, including a new rule that fees go straight to the school’s bank account.
At the start of every academic year, MASYAP holds a meeting for students on its school fees programme and their parents or guardians, to explain the programme’s rules.

- The MASYAP team stressed the need to work hard at school: students who fail may be removed from the programme.
- Youth Coordinator Fatima Hassan announced that students must now provide their school’s bank account details, as fees will be paid directly to the school. This prevents the money being used for other purposes.
- Women’s Coordinator Lennie Kachingwe advised the girls to guard their modesty as they pursue their studies, so that they grow into responsible citizens.
