In addition to leadership and youth engagement activities, MASYAP continued to respond to food insecurity among vulnerable members through its Nutrition Programme. During the reporting period, MASYAP distributed 380 bags of maize flour to five support groups, reaching some of the most vulnerable individuals within the communities.
The beneficiaries included orphans, widows, elderly people, and people living with HIV, with priority given to those facing significant social and economic challenges.
The nutrition support provides more than food assistance. For vulnerable households, access to basic food can help ease the burden of food insecurity and enable individuals and families to focus on their health, livelihoods and overall wellbeing. The initiative also reflects MASYAP’s holistic approach to supporting people living with and affected by HIV, recognizing that health and wellbeing are closely linked to access to food, social support and dignity.
