MASYAP visited nine HIV/AIDS youth support groups with the aim of encouraging the girls to work hard in their studies because only a literate person can read information about HIV and make informed decisions. Drama and netball are some of the tools that are used.

The drama sessions are beneficial to the girls in the sense that:

  • They build confidence
  • Develop creativity
  • Improve verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • Encourage team work and collaboration
  • Develop concentration

The netball sessions have more or less the same benefits as the drama sessions

  • Boosts confidence
  • Team work skills
  • Problem solving and decision making skills

MASYAP VISITS YOUTH SUPPORT GROUPS
