The 2017 Women’s Annual General Meeting was held on October 7, 2017 at IQRA Propagation centre in Blantyre.
Members shared both group and personal experiences. The guest speaker, Jebu Osman who also is chairlady for Naperi Women Support Groups highlighted positive living as a core element of drug adherence. She encouraged members to get tested and open up about their HIV status.
Members shared their home based care work experiences in various communities and discussed their challenges and suggested solutions. They advised each other on how to take care of HIV/AIDS patients, positive living, for those infected with HIV and modes of preventing HIV.
The women AGM allowed the Women Support Groups Coordinator Lennie Kachingwe to outline MASYAP aims and objectives. The Programs Manager commended members for the work they have been doing and encouraged participation in local communities.
