Wearing of face masks is one of the preventive measures of Covid-19 pandemic. There is increasing evidence that persons with symptomatic, pre-symptomatic or early stages of infection can contribute to the community transmission of Covid-19. Thus, face masks can help reduce the spread of infection in the community by minimising the shedding of respiratory droplets from infected persons who may not even know they are infected and before they become symptomatic.

In view of the foregoing, MASYAP took the passionate step to embark upon producing masks to go towards cushioning the public health threat. However, it has to be noted that this initiative came into being under the auspices of Road-To-Relief, who assigned us to sew masks at the command of our machines. This means that MASYAP provided labour in the venture. In fact, the project is more or less the joint venture
